The history of The Candyville Company dates back to 1919. The company emerged from two pioneers in candy: Euro-Sweets and Oeyen. Together they formed the basis for the production of the legendary "Red Hammers " - a classic that is still loved today.
Initially, each candy was made entirely by hand. Later, they switched to specially designed machines. A wonderful testament to this craft heritage is the 1954 Hansella machine, which is still in use within production.
In the early years, Candyville produced different shapes of lollipops: square, round and oval. However, the square lollipop quickly provedthe most popular - and to this day is the recognizable candy you can still find at The Candyville Company.
Over the decades, Candyville continued to innovate and expand its product line. Besides the iconic lollipops, fondant, guimauve, dextrose and sugar beans were added. Thanks to this diversity, the company grew to become a fixture in the Belgian candy world and far beyond.
Today, The Candyville Company stands for more than just candy. It's about an experience, a small moment of happiness shared with others. Whether it's a birthday, a wedding, a communion or just any occasion: Candyville's candies are there to make life just that little bit sweeter.
With the new Papa Chocolat brand, Candyville continues its tradition, but in a modern twist. Think sugar beans, dragees, confetti and marbles - treats that don't melt in your hand, but do in your mouth. This makes every festive moment even more special and keeps the rich history of The Candyville Company alive in a contemporary offering.
